The versatile Portacom Standard waist pack designed for convenience when using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) stores and displays a minimum of 72 two inch symbols. Excellent for setting up schedules, communication boards, Picture Exchange Communication Systems, instructional routines and more. Worn around the waist like a fanny style pack the Standard, when closed, measures approx. seven inches high by ten inches wide and opens in a tri-fold style to reveal 247 square inches of Velcro compatible storage and display space for your symbols, a removable inside Pocket Page for more storage or to use as a finished pocket during transitions (see Pocket Page for more ideas) as well as a removable Insert Page for extra symbols or instructions (see Insert Page for more details). The clear vinyl, zippered pocket in front provides lots of room for identification, bus pass, note pad and pen.

Designer’s comments
The Portacom Standard is recommended for all AAC users requiring symbols or photos 2 inches square or larger or if the individual is using smaller symbols but requires storage and display for more than 50 one inch symbols. The Portacom Standard is also roomy enough to display several photographs depending on the size of each.
For a child or an adult the size or age of the person is not a determining factor when choosing the right Portacom System. Your communication system should fit the needs of the individual requiring the AAC support.
